Good things come in small packages!

Since this is the season of gift giving, it made me think of the phrase that "good things come in small packages". Our Tracey asked me to order a book for her, "Bits and Pieces". Well, I've learned that usually when Tracey asks me to order a book, it's a good idea to order at least two, because someone else will definitely like it also. This time, that someone else was me. I loved this book! They are small projects that you could actually complete in a time frame that made you feel like you'd accomplished something - hooray!

I am putting up a couple of pictures of things we've done. Tracey, of course, whipped out the darling little one with buttons before I could even look through the book and choose one. (Can you tell that we love to tease her?!?) So, I decided I wanted to use some of the Jo Morton fabrics we had to make this fun "Bow Tie" quilt. And I know that Tracey's almost finished hand quilting and binding a beautiful little Amish hanging - she even cut her own stencils to mark it!!
And the icing on the cake was Tracey's idea of using the old fashioned wooden suit hangers to display our creations. She found some very cool antique hangers from famous hotels on e-bay. I dug into the back of my coat closet and found the ones you see. As she so aptly said, she should be "patented"!

The projects in the book would be fun for doll blankets, little hangings or table toppers, or "just because I want to"! I have a couple more in the works...when I get them done, I'll throw those pictures up, as well as Tracey's Amish one.

Thanks for tuning in to all my fun here at Fabric-Etc and beyond!
