Who doesn't love chickens?

We have some great "chicken stuff" at the shop! My favorite at the moment are the chicken pincushions. They are quick to do and are a great use for leftovers from charm packs, since they only take 5" squares! (There's a free handout available at the shop.) We also got this chicken fabric you see in the picture, and there's a pattern for chicken stitchery on our pre-hemmed toweling (we just got the solid white back in stock today!) And I loved doing the "Rulin' the Roost" chicks in reds, yellows and black and whites.


And now the answer to the question: Who doesn't love chickens? Our Jan grew up with chickens, but evidently, the chickens in the coop weren't very nice to her. Ours are much more friendly, so she can handle them!


On another note: We had our "Staff Girls Night Out End of the Year Party" tonight. It was soooo much fun! We laughed and ate Mexican food at Mi Mexico. And the biggest treat of the evening was that our dear friend and co-worker, Diane, was there! Just 3 weeks after some pretty major surgery, she was there to laugh and have a good time with us. (Her husband, John, came to make sure we didn't get too rowdy!) We are so thankful and happy to see her well on the way to recovery - we really miss her at the store!
