The lost is found....
You know what? I confessed and posted about losing my camera and the very next day I found it! I was trying to clean up some "clutter" at the shop Saturday before I took a few days off, and there it was at the bottom of a bag of goodies I was going to bring home almost a month ago! Hooray! So...in honor of getting it back, here is a picture of what I have been "playing" with the last few days. It's a new line from Clothworks, called "Welcome Home" designed by Lydia Quigley - who wouldn't like something designed by someone named Lydia? (FYI - my daughter's name.) I've been enjoying trying my hand at applique and this is the start of the free pattern we got with the group. I'll probably have to fix this, but can you tell that the red circles on the top are a different size than the ones at the bottom? Well....I started this project and then we had a bit of a water problem in my basement sewing room and everything got moved rather quickly. When I went to make the red circles for the second set I couldn't find my original Mylar circle. Thought I had the right one until the original resurfaced - oops - slightly different size.Today was our oldest grandson, Lukas' 8th birthday. So, we took a ride down the freeway to Kenmore to celebrate. Had a great visit at his house with his Mom, his brother Benson and Uncle Pete, and then met a few of his friends for a very quiet birthday dinner at McDonald's. On the way home we stopped for a quick visit with our son Dave, his wife Nikki and baby Cody (who is crawling now). I got to see ALL of my kiddos in one day - what a treat!
Tomorrow is my last official day off this week. Has been fun. One of the most fun things has been watching the International Space Station fly overhead each night. You should watch - very cool. Here's the link http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/sightings/cities/region.cgi?country=United_States®ion=Washington We've been meeting the neighbors outside each night to ooh and ahh... And I have learned to Twitter at the ripe old age of 61! Here's the link to that http://twitter.com/FabricEtc
Okay, I know I am "on vacation" but it's still past my bedtime. More fun stuff soon!!
