Tisket Tasket....Honeybun Basket....

Somebody asked today about all of these "pre-cuts" everybody is putting out - Jelly Rolls. Layer Cakes, Turnovers, HoneyBuns....why are they all food, she wanted to know?? Not sure why they're all food. Maybe to make us "hungry" for more fabric? Anyway, this is a picture of a very fun project I made using a HoneyBun pack (1 1/2" strips) from the Moda Bake Shop. It's a "Honeybun Basket" from K Cotton Studio. I made it in an evening, and there is enough in the pack of fabric to make at least two of these! (And you can always cut the 1 1/2" strips from your scraps - if you have any? You can put a liner in them (or not) and they would be great for gifts of cookies, plants, or even more fabric! I have a few patterns left and a couple dozen more on the way.

Today was fun. It was the last meeting of this year's KT Klub and the Applique the Tracey Way class. Linda and I cleaned up and rearranged a few rows. I managed to see the top of my desk again. Plus, we sold some fabric to folks working on projects this weekend!

Tomorrow? Well, John's painting the basement floor with DryLok, so I'm not sure if I can do laundry or not. Uh oh....could be laundry detergent withdrawal for me! Think I'll cook a roast and do some much needed tidying. Going to try and sew borders on our Holiday Lights project so Jan and I can put Christmas lights on it next week. Hope your Sunday is wonderful!
